Basement Bathroom

I decided to go for the ultra-modern look when building out the basement bathroom.  After a lot of research and window shopping based around the bathroom dimensions, I had a ton of options. The final result is a tempered frosted glass sink bowl with a stainless single handle filler topping off an espresso-finish vanity with a black granite top.  Talk about creating that first “WOW!” visual impact when entering!

P4240013 A matching espresso finish mirror and dual barrel sconce lighting add to the ultra-modern feel.  Keeping with the modern look, I chose chrome hardware rather than the brushed satin nickel found elsewhere in the house.

Kohler high-line toilets were put in every bathroom, and their simplistic design and function fit well with the overall feel of the room.

A steel blue ceramic tile with grey grout rounds out the room and makes for easy cleanup.

Water sensors on the floor integrate with the home automation system to provide early warning in the event of a leak.

The bathroom originally had a full bath, but I thought that it really cramped the room and didn’t have a lot of functional use due to the upstairs bathrooms, so I replaced it with a neo-angle corner shower.  More room for showering, less floor space than a bathtub, and great visual appeal.

The high-quality Moen valves will provide a lifetime of service, and the Moen multi-function handheld sprayer head makes for a great shower experience and easy cleanup of the shower when you’re finished.
