Dining Room
The dining room sits conveniently between the kitchen and the upper deck. With a waist-high dividing wall, it sets itself apart from the living room, while maintaining the open floor plan that lends itself so well to entertaining.
The deep edge of the kitchen bar works well as a bar for casual fare, as well as additional seating when entertaining large crowds.
The dimensions and layout comfortably fit an 8-10 person table, while not dwarfing the 6 person table that I currently have.
There is ample natural light through the French Doors and large bay windows, with a gorgeous 5-light brushed nickel chandelier and recessed lighting providing nighttime lighting.
On mornings when it’s too chilly to sit out on the upper deck, the open view to the lake makes for fantastic sunrises over breakfast, and the occasional chance to watch the deer grazing in the yard.
The 5’ French Doors were freshly installed in September 2009, and as well as being highly energy efficient, they provide great clarity and a perfect thoroughfare for outside entertaining. They were not cheap, but well worth the investment!
